Throughout 2008 you will able to find me in the pages of Country Home, as their Shop Girl. I am so thrilled to become a part of such a beautiful, inspiring, and useful magazine. My feature, Shop Girl, is a great opportunity for me to share some of my inside tips with you in every issue. As the name implies, I will fill you in on all of the latest in building materials and decorative items for your home. Every now and again an issue will feature a great project for you to create on your own, with step by step instructions and the resources to help you get all the supplies you need. In 2007 Shop Girl featured two projects I created. In October I got to dress up plain and boring door and November allowed me to show you how to create a lamp out of an everyday item of beauty. Look for 2008 projects to turn the simple everyday belonging into a stand-out design feature. Throughout the year I will able to share with you my new findings at industry-only trade shows, where I get to see items before they hit the stores shelves. This year I will be attending the NAHB's International Builders Show in Orlando, Kitchen/Bath Industry Show in Chicago, and The National Hardware Show in Las Vegas, all of which showcase the latest and greatest in their very specialized fields. So stay tuned for Shop Girl to feature my favorites from all of the events. Working with Country Home has been wonderful. The magazine is so beautifully put together and features a modern take on a country aesthetic. Whatever your style is, you will find endless ways to be inspired.
